“Romanian Peasant”
22″ x 28″ Pencil
This peasant woman was photographed by a fellow staff member while traveling in Romania. The look in her eyes reminds me that grace and peace and assurance can be found in life. I would love to hear her story.

“A Father’s Delight”
18″ x 24″ Pastel
Have you ever sensed God so near that you felt He lifted your chin? When you looked up your eyes met and there was kindness and grace.
Can you imagine such kindness? I wondered when this kind of love was first displayed in my life. Where have you seen Him express this tenderness personally? God wants you to know Him as Father. “Perfect love casts out all fear.”

“Luis’ Open Heart Surgery, Ecuador”
11″ x 14″ Pastel
I was privileged to hear this report from Dr. Chuck Dietzen and was asked to paint a portrait of Luis…
Luis, a two-year old from Ecuador, was brought to a temporary medical clinic with what was thought to be a cough, and was immediately diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
Friends of Dr. Dietzen were called upon to pray and help. With the help of six generous financial partners, Luis received the open heart surgery, that saved his life! Luis recovered well and is thriving.
What timing. Heart conditions are a spiritual matter, too. The Master Surgeon will heal any disease, sin or brokeness if we go to Him asking for help. I’m thankful.

“Orphans, Nairobi”
16″ x 20″ Pastel
I was struck by the great giggle that the center boy had. Orphans in Nairobi, Africa, laughing? These three were watching a skit being performed by a ventriloquist friend of ours. They heard about God’s complete and unconditional love.
God is Father to the fatherless.
