I painted this for friends of ours after their miscarriage. There was heartbreak and grief.
In miscarriage or any moment of a death, we are left with an empty place in our hearts. Only God can comfort us that deeply.
If you’ve known the pain of parting with a child, look forward to the day when you will be reunited and say, “I’ll hold you in heaven”.
I look forward to the day when I’ll hold one of our own, in heaven.

The greatest trade ever made… my crown of thorns was traded for His crown of royalty. While painting this I was grieved again over my unworthiness to be forgiven, completely freed from paying for my own sins. He died for all sin, on the cross, so that His offer of rightness before God could be mine.
He died for you, too. He offers this gift of forgiveness and life to each of us.

I was privileged to hear this report from Dr. Chuck Dietzen and was asked to paint a portrait of Luis…
Luis, a two-year old from Ecuador, was brought to a temporary medical clinic with what was thought to be a cough, and was immediately diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
Friends of Dr. Dietzen were called upon to pray and help. With the help of six generous financial partners, Luis received the open heart surgery, that saved his life! Luis recovered well and is thriving.
What timing. Heart conditions are a spiritual matter, too. The Master Surgeon will heal any disease, sin or brokeness if we go to Him asking for help. I’m thankful.
